Hi Graham, This was my first time back on this lake after a few years. Can’t believe how gorgeous this lake is now. We stayed on the lake for 48hrs and were using pellets, fishy boilies, sausage baits and dog biscuits. After a lot of hard work, we banked two immaculate fish between the four of us. One was on my favourite squid sausage bait and the other on surface fished dog biscuit by my mate/birthday boy club member Steve Wright. My mates noticed that stalking the lake with surface fished baits seemed to be more successful. The problem they had was just hooking them, very finicky! I stuck with bottom fished baits and pellet waggler, as I forgot my surface gear, Doh! Overall the fishing was very hard, but I had a cracking weekend away with great mates. If you don’t mind a challenge, then give this lake a go. However make sure you have a rake to hand, as this lake is very weedy at the moment. John Cullom Sutton Ely
