Some good catches of carp on the A pit with several fish to 15lbs to individual anglers. Some different tactics have been used with the usual boillie rigs accounting for fish but also float fished worm rigs close to the margins has produced several good fish. The big spring clean up continues and will continue do so over the next couple of months. A big thank you to Roger,Will,Colin and Mike who have helped clear up rubbish that has gathered since our last clean up. Unfortunately a lot of the litter has been fly tipped over the winter. This is so frustrating, a horrible problem not restricted to ourselves. Some of the larger items have already been removed and we will continue to clear up.
Small Carp to 3lb now regular with good roach and rudd to 8oz. Worm seems to be the bait at the moment but must be presented against a feature on light rigs.
This venue remains very quiet at the moment with only small catches of rudd and perch to pinkie bait fish over a little loose feed. The warm weather will improve things in the next few weeks.
Carp to 12lb have been recorded with anglers reporting several runs in a session. The weed beds are starting to come up and there is a little more colour in the water. Rudd to 4oz are also coming to the net with castor best on the hook.
Very slow at the moment with no reports of carp being captured. Perch to 2lb to worm bait have been recorded from the deep pool.
